There are 2 ways to give a Crime Stoppers Tip
Both Methods are secure and ensure that your identity remains anonymous.
By Telephone: 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) - 24 hours a day
Online: Click Here to report Online.
- Please do not submit a tip if you are a victim of crime, have already called the police or are a witness in a matter.
- The Crime Stoppers online form (TipSoft) offers high level security. The forms reside on
a dedicated secure server. When you submit a tip online, you will automatically generate a secure, encrypted message directly
to Crime Stoppers that can only be decrypted by Crime Stoppers.
- To protect your anonymity, TipSoft does not collect any personally identifiable information from you or your computer. Please
answer as many of the questions as you can. Do not divulge any personal information that could identify you — our goal is
for you to remain anonymous. To assist the investigators, please keep your story clear and concise, including where, when, why, how and what.
- You will be given a code number. This should be kept to yourself in order to remain anonymous. After 3-4 weeks, call Crime Stoppers back on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. You will need to give your confidential tip code number and you will receive and update on the status of the investigation.
- If your tip leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000.
